A collaboration between Doozy Crew and Boss Money brings personal narrative, global connection, and cinematic storytelling into sharp focus.

In a standout collaboration, Boss Money, a platform that simplifies international money transfers, partnered with Doozy Crew to create a powerful video campaign featuring Jonathan Mensah, captain of the Columbus Crew and a respected voice in both the sports and immigrant communities.

The goal was clear: tell Jonathan’s story in a way that feels as genuine as it is inspiring, while subtly reinforcing how Boss Money plays a meaningful role in his life. From concept to delivery, Doozy Crew handled every detail of the production journey, crafting a story that would resonate emotionally while reflecting the brand’s purpose.

Story First, Always

The heart of this campaign wasn’t just the visuals—it was Jonathan’s voice. Before filming, Doozy Crew conducted a series of in-depth pre-interviews with him over Zoom to uncover the real story behind the screen: his upbringing, his motivations, his connection to family, and how Boss Money helps him support his loved ones back in Ghana.

These interviews became the backbone of the script, shaping a concise and powerful voiceover that honored both his journey and Boss Money’s role in it.

The Shoot: One Sunset, One Shot at Greatness

With a limited window of time on the Columbus Crew practice field, Doozy Crew’s team knew the shoot had to be fast, efficient, and beautiful. Fortunately, the day brought a striking sunset, and the team was ready.

Using an ARRI Alexa Mini for main camera work and a DJI Inspire 2 drone for aerials, the visuals captured Jonathan’s presence with both intimacy and polish. The footage was later brought to life in post-production using DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, and After Effects for screen replacements and subtle motion work.

Impact Beyond the Frame

The final videos blended story and product seamlessly, elevating Boss Money’s brand by making it personal, emotional, and real. So well-executed was the work, in fact, that several frames from the campaign were featured on DaVinci Resolve’s official website, a nod to the project’s visual quality and creative impact.

A Campaign That Resonates

With this project, Doozy Crew once again proved that good video isn’t about flash, it’s about connection. It’s about taking the time to understand the subject, shape the message, and execute with clarity and creativity.

From a single sunset shoot to a global brand story, this campaign is a perfect example of what happens when authenticity and cinematic storytelling collide.
