Day of Giving
Overview
We created five individual student videos, each focusing on a specific cause: animal welfare, cancer research, food insecurity, veteran support, and the opioid epidemic. Each video centered around a student personally connected to the topic, making the campaign authentic and emotionally compelling.
The Day of Giving is a university-wide fundraising initiative that rallies supporters around causes affecting Ohio State students—from health and wellness to food insecurity and military support.

The Challenge
We needed to create meaningful, cause-driven videos that could speak to broad donor audiences while staying under one minute each.
The messaging had to be personal yet strategically constructed, driving action while respecting the students’ vulnerability and stories.

The Solution
We conducted pre-interviews with each student to develop short, impactful voiceover scripts based on their lived experiences and roles on campus. These guided the shoot and ensured each message was both personal and persuasive.

High-end cinematography, natural lighting, and purposeful location choices helped reinforce each story’s tone. We used intentional visual pacing and personalized titles to target segmented donor lists across platforms.
