Dreams in motion.
Animation across platforms — from custom social stickers to character explainers and motion graphics for live events, including high-profile NBA productions.
Working closely with you throughout the animation process is super important to us. Your ideas and feedback help make sure the final animation feels true to your vision and stands out in its own way. Teaming up like this is how we turn your ideas into something really special.

Animation questions, answered.
What animation styles does Doozy Crew produce?
Doozy Crew produces 2D and 3D animation, motion graphics, character animation, product visualization, and explainer-style video — all in-house. Style frames are developed and approved before production begins, so the final look is locked in early rather than negotiated during animation.
What's the difference between animation and motion graphics?
Animation typically tells a story with characters, environments, or narrative — think explainer videos, brand films with animated sequences, or fully animated shorts. Motion graphics use type, shapes, and design elements to communicate information — think title sequences, lower-thirds, sports broadcast graphics, and animated data. Doozy Crew produces both, often within the same project.
How long does an animated video take to produce?
Most animated projects run four to eight weeks end-to-end. The breakdown is roughly: one week of concepting and scripting, one to two weeks for style frames and storyboards, two to four weeks for animation, and a final week of revisions and delivery. Larger or more character-heavy projects extend the animation phase.
What software does Doozy Crew use for animation?
We animate in After Effects (motion graphics, 2D, compositing) and Cinema 4D (3D, product visualization). Illustration is done in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Final delivery goes through a color-managed pipeline so animated content matches the look of any live-action it's combined with.
Can you combine animation with live-action footage?
Yes — hybrid live-action and animation is a common deliverable. We integrate animated elements (lower-thirds, callouts, animated graphics, character moments) into live-action footage with attention to tracking, color, and pacing so the two read as one piece, not stitched.
How much does animated video production cost in Columbus?
Animated projects in Columbus typically range from $8,000 for short focused pieces up to $90,000+ for fully animated multi-minute brand films. Most animation projects land in the $15K-$40K range. Quotes are fixed-fee after a discovery call — no hourly billing.
Do you write the script for animated videos?
Yes — most projects start with us writing the script, building the storyboard, and directing the visual development. You bring the strategy and brand voice; we bring the translation into animated storytelling.
